Fan Mail … for decades it’s been the most popular way for fans to show support and admiration for their favorite celebrities, musicians, etc.
Traditionally letters, cards, and postcards were sent to an artists’ management office in hopes that someday they made it into the hands of the artists themselves.
In recent years, technology has revolutionized the concept of fan mail and – for better or for worse – it’s been easy to send messages to artists with just the click of a button. Social media has been great for efficiency, but in turn has added tremendous noise to the communication between fans and artists.
The personal connection is gone and it’s nearly impossible to expect an artist to read everything sent to them through social media – so much so that some artists ignore it entirely.
Well, we want to go back to the roots of Fan Mail: the mail.
For the first time ever, we are accepting Fan Mail for any and all Firefly 2017 artists. We will collect these letters (handwritten only) from now until June 1st and will place them in the recipient’s dressing room at Firefly.
We are beyond excited to help build the connection between you and your favorite artists and bet that your positive messages will help energize the artists’ performances at Firefly.
Please send all handwritten fan mail to the following address:
